What is context engineering for marketing?

Context engineering for marketing is deciding what an agent knows before it starts: the product’s positioning, the customer’s language, the founder’s voice, the claims that are proven and the ones that are banned. It applies Anthropic’s context engineering, managing what an agent knows at inference time, to marketing work. It replaces prompt-by-prompt coaching with durable files the agent reads every session.

The reason it outranks prompting: generic output is almost never a model problem, it is a context problem. An agent that has read ten verbatim founder sentences, three real customer objections, and a do-not-say list writes like the company. The working form is a small set of markdown files in the repo (a marketing context file, a voice guide, per-project constraints) that are versioned, reviewed, and corrected like code.
