What is human-in-the-loop marketing?
Human-in-the-loop marketing runs marketing through AI agents while keeping explicit points where a human must approve before anything ships. The pattern borrows its name from human-in-the-loop control systems, where a person stays in the decision path by design. The agent does the reading, drafting, and assembly; the human decides what publishes, what sends, and what the brand puts its name on.
The design question is where to put the gates. Too many and you have rebuilt manual work with extra steps; too few and errors reach customers. The pattern that works: gate the irreversible actions (publishing, sending, spending) and let the agent run freely on everything upstream. A pull request the human approves, or a draft the human sends, is a gate; a human skimming output after it shipped is not.
