Every Sunday an agent screens a tracked set of B2B SaaS domains through the Ahrefs API: domain metrics for all, page-level deep dives on movers. Five signal types qualify a tactic as a Play candidate: breakout pages, template surges, cross-domain patterns, keyword coups, and new surfaces. At least a third of tracked domains sit under DR 60, so Plays stay replicable for normal sites.
Teardowns separate THE DATA from THE READ. The data register contains only observations traceable to a snapshot, published as deltas and derived readings attributed as estimates via the Ahrefs API. The read register is our interpretation, labeled as such. Causal claims are not allowed in the data register. Anomalous data is quarantined, never published.
Every Play carries a verification stamp. Quarterly, an agent re-pulls each Play's underlying signal and marks it STILL WORKING, FADING, or RETIRED, with the date. Retired skills stay downloadable and clearly marked.
No pay-to-feature. Detector results are not for sale. Sponsors, when present, are labeled. Nominations require verifiable public evidence and are capped at one in four Plays.
One person selects the weekly Play from the detector's candidates (about five minutes) and approves the final package after personally running the skill (about twenty minutes). Everything else is agents. Changes to signal definitions or scoring are logged here.
