What is vibe marketing?

Vibe marketing is the practice of running marketing through AI agents and automation, the way developers vibe-code: the marketer directs, reviews, and decides while agents execute the production work.

The term follows "vibe coding," coined in early 2025 to describe writing software by directing an AI rather than typing the code. Vibe marketing applies the same operating model to growth work: research, content production, page generation, outreach drafting, and reporting run as agent loops. The human contributes taste, judgment, and accountability.

What it is

A marketer running a weekly content system where agents draft, check voice, and publish behind a human approval gate is vibe marketing. So is an agent that watches competitor data and proposes campaigns, or a programmatic page engine a marketer directs but never hand-builds.

What it is not

It is not using ChatGPT to write a post. Tool use is not an operating model. The line is delegation with verification: agents own execution loops, humans own judgment gates. It is also not unsupervised automation. Removing the judgment gates produces volume, not marketing.

The marketer's job shifts from producing the work to directing the system that produces the work.

The operating model

A vibe marketing system has four parts. Detection: data feeds that surface what to act on. Production: agents that execute against playbooks. Gates: human checkpoints where judgment and accountability live. Distribution: publishing loops that run without manual lift. This site is itself such a system, and its methodology is public.

Where the term is going

As of mid-2026 the term is young and contested, used for everything from prompt packs to full agent systems. We maintain this page as a living definition and update it as the practice matures. Last updated June 11, 2026.
